Important information for our customers using Pagero Server Connect
This message only applies to the application Pagero Server Connect and the latest Java update.
Java recently updated their algorithm constraints check for version 1.8.0_144. This new security method is not fully supported in the current version of Pagero Server Connect. As a result the Pagero Server Connect will not be able to transfer documents from the users system to Pagero Online – The error is printed in the PSC logfile as “Unknown error: Can not connect http client invoker” and also notified via email (if error mail is activated in the PSC settings) (poscripted.log is located in the PSC installation folder)
We are currently developing a fix for this issue, in the mean time you can disable these new Java features in the java.security file, which will allow the application to run as intended again. To do this, follow the below steps;
- Open the file “java.security”, (default location C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_144\lib\security)
- Go to row 569 and 570
- Comment these rows by putting a “#”-character in front of them, in the same way there is a #-character in front of the rows above and below 569 and 570.
After saving the changes please make sure that the application is working as intended by uploading a document with the application, and verifying that it has been uploaded correctly to www.pageroonline.com. If Java is updated again after the fix is applied the fix may no longer work and will need to be applied again through the same steps.
