Update: | Compliance Alert - Registration in Pagero SMP for Peppol e-invoicing |
Date: | 2023-04-25 |
Dear customer,
Pagero aims to register you as a Peppol e-invoicing recipient for Belgium in Pagero’s SMP by 8 May 2023.
Why is Pagero doing this?
As we have earlier notified you on 15 August 2022 and 27 September 2022 (see previous alerts in the Support Centre), in the light of new requirements imposed by BOSA (Belgian Peppol Authority), we have enabled MLR and IRM capabilities for all our customers that are sending Peppol e-invoices in Belgium, both B2G and B2B e-invoices.
After further discussions and clarifications with BOSA and OpenPeppol, it has been concluded that the best way to ensure proper functioning and compliance with these new capabilities, Pagero should register you as a Peppol e-invoice recipient in our SMP.
What are the benefits for you?
- Registration as a Peppol recipient in Pagero’s SMP enables you to receive any Peppol e-invoices in Belgium immediately;
- Registration as a Peppol recipient in Pagero’s SMP and handling such Peppol e-invoices in Pagero’s portal does not cost you anything;
- Registration as a Peppol recipient in Pagero’s SMP makes you compliant with the upcoming B2B e-invoicing mandate in Belgium, based on information published to date. We are closely monitoring further clarifications from the Belgian Ministry of Finance.
What if you disagree?
If you have any objections to Pagero commencing this action, please contact us no later than within 5 working days from the issuance of this Alert.
Please note that the effect of deregistration from Pagero’s SMP will be that we would be forced to disable your MLR and IRM capabilities in Belgium, resulting in your processing not being fully compliant with the local e-invoicing requirements.
