The Public Service of Federal Finance has given an update on the reduced VAT rate timelines.
Professional users have been benefiting from a VAT rate of 6% since 1 August 2022.
This VAT rate has been implemented for natural gas for heating and heat via heating networks.
The reduced VAT rate for professional users will return to 21% starting 1 July 2023.
At the same time, households will continue to take advantage of the 6% rate as this sector has been given this benefit permanently.
