The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) has recently implemented a new feature on its e-invoice website that will allow users to search and access the Invoice Reference Number (IRN) or the e-invoice itself.
Taxpayers can now input details such as supplier GST Identification Number (GSTIN), financial year, document type or document number to obtain information on IRN and e-invoice details.
If a taxpayer does not retain the IRN, the steps below will assist them in accessing this functionality:
- Go to GSTN Dashboard;
- In the top menu, find the option “Search/Enable. Click it and see the dropdown menu.
- In the dropdown menu, click ”Search IRNs”.
