Difference between From node types

When defining routes in Pagero TMS every route needs to have From node type. This type defines especially how the system should choose the address details of transport shipment (from and to address).

There are four different From node types:

1. Multiple shipping locations

Route for picking up the goods from the shipper and delivery to a hub

  • Normally used for 1st leg of multi-leg solution
  • From address: TS address details from CS
  • To address: TS address details from Next node

2. Domestic hub

Route from destination hub to end customer

  • Normally used for the last leg in multi-leg solution
  • From address: TS address details from From node
  • To address: TS address details from CS

3. N/A

Route for a delivery between two hubs

  • Normally used for 2nd -legs.
  • From address: TS address details from From node
  • To address: TS address details from Next node
  • If there are routes with the same Network service and with From node type N/A it is possible to create 1st leg TS which has different CS From nodes.

For example, in the below case CS with Ship from node 23 and 07 will end up to the same TS since the departure time is the same. For that TS the Node ID is 23 since its the first line in the timetable.

4. Multiple shipping location and domestic hub

Basic shipments with consolidation only with the same CS address details

  • Normally used for single-leg
  • From address: TS address details from CS
  • To address: TS address details from CS
