Update: Compliance Alert - Technical Note 2024.002 - v.1.00 defines specifications for simplified CT-e
Date: 202-04-11

In compliance with SINIEF Adjustment 46/2023, the State Revenue Portals have introduced the Simplified CT-e Receiving Service, tailored for inter-municipal or interstate transportation services involving multiple senders or receivers and a single service taker. This service enables transporters to issue a single CT-e for all services provided to this taker per vehicle and trip.

The processing of this reception service is synchronous, without batching. Taxpayers are required to transmit the Simplified CT-e through the exclusive receiving Web Service designed for this layout, receiving the processing outcome in the same connection.

This service function is solely for receiving messages of Simplified CT-e dispatches, processed synchronously.

Below are details on the layout, as well as validation and business rules for the Simplified CT-e:

  • Method: cteRecepcaoSimp
  • Message Data Parameter: Compressed using GZip (Base64)
  • Input Message Layout: XML Schema: cteSimp_v9.99.xsd
  • Return Message Layout: XML Structure with the result message of Simplified CT-e dispatch

XML Schema: retCTeSimp_v9.99.xsd

Simplified CT-e Business Rules

The validations described on page 10 of the MOC Overview apply to the CT-e sent to the CT-e reception service.

End of CT-e Processing

As disposed on page 19 of the MOC Overview, the CT-e validation may result in:

  • Rejection – The CT-e will be discarded, not stored in the Database and can be corrected and retransmitted;
  • Authorization for Use – The CT-e will be stored in the Database. Each authorized CT-e will be assigned a SEFAZ protocol number.

Implementation timeline

  • Approval environment (company testing environment): 2 September 2024;
