| Update: | Compliance Alert - Sefaz Sao Paulo publishes changes in the Electronic Manifest of Tax Documents |

Sefaz SP issues new Ordinance SRE 28/2024, updating rules for Electronic Manifest of Tax Documents (MDF-e) and the Auxiliary Document of the Electronic Manifest of Tax Documents (DAMDFE) issuance, among other measures.
Key changes include:
- MDF-e now must be issued after loading and before transportation begins, as established in SINIEF Adjustment 21/10, third clause;
- The carrier declared in the document can terminate MDF-e if not closed by the issuer, according to Ordinance CAT 102/13, paragraph 1.
These changes became effective on 29 April 2024.
