| Update: | Compliance Alert – New transporter event introduced in Technical Note 2020.007 v1.40 |

On 2 August 2024, a new update has been released for Electronic Goods Invoice (NF-e). Technical Note 2020.007 version 1.40 introduces a new event feature allowing the issuer or recipient to designate the transporter responsible for moving the goods. In case of its use, the event must be created within six months.
Additionally, validation rule 4P24-10 has been modified:
- Adjustment to Rejection Code 371: "Rejection: Authorized CNPJ/CPF is not the issuer of the CT-e," which now requires proper identification of the responsible transporter in operations.
The implementation timelines are as follows:
- Approval environment (company testing environment): 25 July 2024;
- Production Environment: 1 August 2024.
