Update: | Compliance Alert – Technical Note 2024.002 introduces new Financial Reconciliation Event – ECONF |
Date: | 2024-08-21 |
Published on 1 August 2024, Technical Note 2024.002 introduces new events for financial reconciliation in the electronic invoicing systems, Goods Electronic Invoice (NF-e) model 55 and Consumer Electronic Invoice (NFC-e) model 65. The Financial Reconciliation Event (ECONF) allows businesses to record financial transactions linked to electronic invoices, aiding in aligning fiscal and financial data.
Highlights of the updates include:
- Introduction of Financial Reconciliation Event (ECONF): This optional event helps businesses link financial transactions directly to their invoices, addressing issues with payments made at different times from when the invoice was generated;
- New Cancellation Event: Alongside ECONF, a cancellation event has been introduced for when reconciliation needs to be revoked.
The updates are aligned with SINIEF Adjustments 3/2023 and 10/2023, aiming to improve compliance and data accuracy in financial reporting.
The implementation timelines are as follows:
- Approval environment (company testing environment): 1 July 2024;
- Production Environment: 2 September 2024.
Developers can access the new XML schema package published on 30 July 2024 via the National NF-e Portal for integration into their systems.
