Update: | Compliance Alert - Delay in activation of Validation Rule 391 for NFC-e in Minas Gerais |
Date: | 2024-09-30 |
SEFAZ of Minas Gerais announced an extension for activating Validation Rule 391 in the production environment for NFC-e (Electronic Consumer Invoice). Initially set to go live on 1 October 2024, the rule pertains to credit and debit card data not being provided in the Payment Methods of the Invoice. The new implementation date has not yet been defined.
What are the changes?
Validation Rule 391, established in Technical Note (NT) 2015.002, requires that when a payment is made by credit/debit card or PIX (instant payment system), the corresponding card information (tag: card) must be included in the invoice data. This rule was supposed to be enforced in production starting 1 October 2024, but its activation has now been postponed, with SEFAZ Minas Gerais continuing to analyse its future implementation.
What are the impacts?
The delay in activating Validation Rule 391 gives businesses additional time to adjust their systems to ensure compliance with the new requirements. Once implemented, businesses using credit, debit, or PIX as payment methods will need to include card data in their invoices. This change is expected to improve transparency and accuracy in payment reporting for tax purposes.
