On 5 November 2024, Executive Decree 953/2024 was published, dissolving Argentina's Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) and establishing the Customs Collection and Control Agency (ARCA).
What are the changes?
The decree dissolves AFIP and replaces it with ARCA. ARCA will assume all functions previously carried out by AFIP, and existing laws and regulations will remain in force unless they conflict with the new decree.
What are the impacts?
All legal and regulatory references to AFIP, including agreements and contracts, will now refer to ARCA. This ensures continuity in operations and legal processes.
Implementation timelines
The regulation is effective immediately from its publication date, 5 November 2024.
