On 31 October 2024, the Cyprus Council of Ministers approved a measure imposing a zero VAT rate on several essential goods.
Items such as baby milk, certain vegetables (e.g., fresh or chilled potatoes and tomatoes, onions, shallots, leeks, etc.), and certain fruits (fresh bananas, figs, grapes, apples, pears, etc.) have a zero VAT rate from 4 November 2024 until 31 December 2025.
