On October 11, 2024, The Ministry of Economy and Finance released details about the VAT Code (law 5144/2024), which replaces the VAT Code (law 2859/2000).
The new VAT law includes changes to the chapters’ structure and updated wording.
Although no significant changes have been noted in the new VAT Code law, businesses must reference the correct VAT exemption provisions in their invoices.
In addition, VAT provisions must be taken into consideration when reporting transactions on the MyData tax platform.
