The Secretariat of Finance of Minas Gerais (SEF/MG) has announced that the production environment for NFCom (Electronic Invoice for Communication Services) is now available for registered companies in the state.
What are the changes?
NFCom will replace the physical models 21 and 22 currently used for documenting communication and telecommunication services. Companies with primary activities related to specific CNAE (National Classification of Economic Activities) codes have been automatically registered to use NFCom.
What are the impacts?
- Companies must now issue and store invoices digitally;
- Real-time invoice submission to SEF/MG is required;
- Non-compliance may result in penalties or inability to issue valid invoices.
Companies can access NFCom Web Services via the SEF/MG portal to ensure proper invoice issuance and submission, while taxpayers not yet registered must apply for registration through the SEF's "Fale Conosco" channel.
