Date: 2025-02-13

From December 28, 2024, to February 7, 2025, the Malaysian Inland Revenue Board (IRBM) rolled out several key updates to its e-invoice Software Development Kit (SDK).

On December 28, 2024, a new API definition for searching taxpayers’ TIN was added, along with an additional unit code for gross ton (GT) and refreshed sample JSON and XML files for invoice versions 1.0 and 1.1.

By January 14, 2025, rate limits were introduced to key e-invoice APIs such as “Login,” “Submit,” and “Cancel,” accompanied by best practices for optimized usage. These new limits will take effect on May 30, 2025.

Furthermore, on January 16, 2025, the SSL certificate for the myinvois.hasil.gov.my domain was renewed.

The latest change, dated February 7, 2025, involves adding General TIN ‘EI00000000010’ to both Consolidated Sample XML and JSON files. Multi-Line-Item Sample XML and JSON were also updated to include different Tax Types, Tax Rates, and Tax Exemptions, rounding out the most recent improvements to IRBM’s e-Invoice SDK.
