On March 18, 2025, the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia released an update to the e-Invoice Guideline (version 4.3), addressing potential disruptions in the MyInvois System.
The new addition clarifies that in cases of system outages or technical failures, taxpayers who can provide evidence of their compliance efforts will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
If deemed valid, the Director General of Inland Revenue may choose not to penalize taxpayers for delayed e-invoice transmissions during such periods.
