Pagero is pleased to announce an important update regarding the digital signature requirements for document clearance in Malaysia.
Currently, Malaysia supports two versions for document clearance flows through LHDN: version 1.0 and version 1.1. The primary difference between these versions is that version 1.0 includes only the business document, while version 1.1 incorporates a digital signature applied by Pagero.
In the near future, the Malaysian Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) will phase out the ability to send documents using version 1.0. All documents will need to be submitted using version 1.1. While the exact timeline for this change is still unknown, Pagero has successfully tested and activated the ability to send documents using version 1.1. Support for version 1.0 will be discontinued by 5th of May, 2025.
Customers are encouraged to enable version 1.1 as soon as possible by enabling digital signature application to their clearance process, and certainly before 5th of May, 2025. If digital signature application is not enabled by that date, Pagero will automatically migrate setups to ensure smooth operations when LHDN discontinues version 1.0.
For new customers, version 1.1 will be the default setup.
