As reported earlier in May, the temporary period for lowering the reduced VAT rate from 12% to 6% was extended to 30 September 2021.
The Norwegian government initially introduced these measures in April 2020 to help the hospitality sector recover from the impact of COVID-19.
The reduced VAT rate has been increased back to 12% since 1 October 2021.
