As reported in an earlier update from 1 June 2022, ZATCA (Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority) proposed several changes to the previously published e-invoicing rules and requirements materials.
On 24 June, ZATCA approved those changes and published the latest versions on its pages about e-invoicing.
In addition, ZATCA launched the Fatoora portal, dedicated to issuing digital certificates and signatures to integrate with the mandatory infrastructure. Alongside, ZATCA published a detailed guide (available in Arabic and English) explaining how this portal shall be used.
Lastly, on 29 June 2022, ZATCA issued a new E-invoicing Detailed Technical Guideline. It will help taxpayers prepare for successful onboarding of the E-invoice Generation Solution Units and fulfil and monitor their compliance with the e-invoicing regulations in the integration phase.
