On 5 July 2022, the Bulgarian government has passed a new law, amending the VAT legislation.
From 1 July 2022 to 1 July 2023, the supply of bread and flour, including their importation, intra-community sales and purchases will be taxed at a zero rate (0%).
Furthermore, the VAT rate for central heating and natural gas, including importation or intra-community sales and purchases, is reduced to 9% until 1 July 2023.
