Update: | Compliance Alert - Important update of communication protocols for Electronic Fiscal Coupon Authenticators and Transmitters (SATs) |
Date: | 2024-04-04 |
The Finance Department of the State of São Paulo (Sefaz-SP) is updating communication protocols for Electronic Fiscal Coupon Authenticators and Transmitters (SATs), discontinuing support for SSL3.0 and TLS1.0 over the next few months.
Since 2021, SAT models and basic software versions have required compatibility with the TLS1.2 protocol, which was considered the most secure for the SAT project.
The SSL3.0 shutdown is set for 5 August 2024, and TLS1.0 on 1 October 2024.
To prevent communication problems, taxpayers should check device compatibility with TLS1.2 and contact manufacturers for updates if needed.
The list of impacted SAT models and options to update to more secure protocols was made available by Sefaz-SP.
